Great Blue Heron - Ardea herodias summer range is located in western Montana. In Montana the Great Blue Heron hunts for fish in marshy lakes, nesting at night in tree top rockery.

In low light the Great Blue Heron evokes visions of prehistoric teradactyl. The Great Blue Heron is the largest heron in North America, the wingspan of the Sandhill Crane is even larger then that of the Great Blue Heron.
